At Penford, we implement continuous improvement programs to reduce our carbon footprint. These programs are designed to benefit the environment and save money by focusing on conserving energy, reducing water usage and eliminating landfill waste.

• We use sustainable alternatives in logistics and packaging.
• Our recycling management goal is to minimize waste and keep materials out of the landfill.
• Penford received the Energy Star Award from the EPA for excellence in energy performance.
• Our potato starch manufacturing process is the greenest in the world. We use by-product streams to support our operations, as opposed to the industry standard of grinding potatoes.
