Our history
At Penford, who we are says a lot about what we do.
Our roots go back more than 100 years to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where George Douglas founded what would become the largest modified starch producer in the world. Today, Penford Food Ingredients is a key division of Penford Corporation (Nasdaq: PENX), a leading North American provider of modified starches for the food and paper goods industries. Penford Corporation's holdings stretch from Australia to locations throughout the United States.
